RESOLUTION NO. 26-643
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY FOR
LAND IN RURAL STORY COUNTY FOR FUTURE WATER WELLS
AND OPEN SPACE LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF AMES
NEAR I-35 AND 260TH STREET
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, an application for a City of Ames proposed Plat of Survey has been
submitted for a boundary line adjustment per Section 23.309 of the Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS, the site is located southeast of Ames near I-35 and 260th Street. The
owner is the Jerald L. and Carol E. Ryerson Family Trust; and,
WHEREAS, the real estate is located within: the SW1/4, NW1/4 & NW1/4, SW1/4
of Sec. 19-83-23, Story County, Iowa; the SE1/4, NE1/4 & NE1/4, SE1/4 of Sec. 24 -83-
24, Story County, Iowa; and is more particularly described in Exhibits A and B attached
hereto; and,
WHEREAS, a preliminary decision of approval for the proposed Plat of Survey has
been rendered by the Planning and Housing Department with no conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the City of Ames proposed Plat of Survey for Land in Rural Story County for
Future Water Wells and Open Space located southeast of Ames near I -35 and 260th
Street is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 13th day of October, 2026.
