Home My WebLink About~Master - COTA Meeting Minutes 02/01/2016MI NUTE S COMMISSION ON THE ARTS Room 235 City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue Monday, February 1, 2016 Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:01 p.m. by Chair Malinda Cooper. Members present were Jennifer Brockpahler, Jon Foley, Connie Garnett, and Steve Sullivan. Prior to proceeding with the business of the agenda, Chair Cooper requested that Commissioner Brockpahler explain her news. Commissioner Brockpahler stated that she would be unable to vote during the meeting, as she was taking a position as the director of the Ames Community Arts Council. She indicated that tonight would be her last meeting. Approval of December 7, 2015 Minutes Moved by Commissioner Sullivan, seconded by Commissioner Garnett, to approve the November 2, 2015 meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously, with Brockpahler abstaining. Public Forum Madeleine Russell, of Co-Motion Dance Theater, announced that the spring concert for Co’Motion Dance Theater would be in March. Review of Paragraphs Chair Cooper requested that the paragraphs be alphabetized to align with the budget allocation sheet. It was moved by Commissioner Sullivan, seconded by Commissioner Foley, to approve the paragraphs. Motion carried unanimously, with Brockpahler abstaining. Budget Presentation to City Council Chair Cooper indicated she would be in attendance to discuss any issues the City Council had. Upcoming Meetings/Important Dates The next COTA meeting will be March 7, 2016 Adjournment Commissioner Foley moved adjournment at 5:09 p.m.
