AMES, IOWA DECEMBER 6, 2017
The Ames Civil Service Commission met in special session at 8:00 a.m. on December 6, 2017, in
the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, with Commission Members Mike Crum,
Harold Pike, and Charlie Ricketts present. Also in attendance were Assistant City Manager Bob
Kindred and Human Resources Director Kaila Boothroy.
HEARING ON TERMINATION APPEAL FOR CHRIS MILLER: Chair Crum opened the
hearing. He noted for the record that the Commission had received written correspondence
indicating that the appellant, Chris Miller, has withdrawn his appeal.
Moved by Pike, seconded by Ricketts, to accept the letter from Chris Miller withdrawing his
termination appeal before the Civil Service Commission.
Vote on Motion: 3-0. Motion declared carried unanimously.
COMMENTS: The Commission was reminded that its next regularly scheduled meeting will be
held on December 21, 2017.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 8:05 a.m.
