Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mary Kay Truckenmiller, Members
present were Ferit Karakaya and Donald Tweedt. Nicolas Bulver and Candace Zwank
were not present.
Public Forum
No one spoke during Public Forum.
Approval of June 1, 2026, Minutes
Donald noted the amounts for the Special Project Grant awards to Rolling Hills Chamber
Music and KHOI Community Radio were transposed. They were corrected to Rolling Hills
Chamber Music ($1,000) and KHOI Community Radio ($600).
It was moved by Ferit, seconded by Donald, to approve the minutes of June 1, 2026, as
corrected.
Motion carried unanimously.
2025/26 Annual Grant Update
The Commissioners discussed the availability of funding as a result of Worldly Goods not
accepting its Annual Grant. The funds will remain available for the Commission to use for
another purpose later during the 2026/27 fiscal year.
Approval of Final Reports
It was moved by Ferit, seconded by Donald to table the 2025/26 Annual Grant Final
Reports to the September meeting.
Motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Ferit, seconded by Donald to table the spring 2026 Special Grant Final
Reports to the September meeting.
Motion carried unanimously.
Approval of 2027/28 Annual Grant application and report forms
It was moved by Donald, seconded by Ferit to approve the 2027/28 Annual Grant
application and report forms.
Motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Spring 2027 Special Project Grant application and report forms
It was moved by Ferit, seconded by Donald to approve the Spring 2027 Special Project
Grant application and report forms.
Motion carried unanimously.
Upcoming Important Dates
Upcoming important dates were reviewed by Mary Kay.
Adjourn
There being no further business, Mary Kay adjourned the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
