RESOLUTION APPROVING BOND FOR
R3C BID PACKAGE NO. 14-1 - ELEVATOR LIFT WORK
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, this City Council has heretofore determined it advisable and
necessary that certain improvements be constructed in the City of Ames, Iowa, such
project having been designated as R3C Bid Package No. 14-1 - Elevator Lift Work; and,
pursuant to notice and hearing, bids were received on the 3rd day of March, 2026, as
called for in the detailed plans and specifications as prepared by the Public Works
Department and filed with the City Clerk on the 27th day of January, 2026; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore determined that the bid of TK Elevator
Corporation, of Atlanta, GA, in the amount of $109,800 is the lowest and best bid
submitted for the construction of said project; and,
WHEREAS, the Contract in the form provided in said plans and specifications has
been executed by said contractor, and satisfactory performance bond has been filed by
said contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, as follows:
Section One. The performance bond of TK Elevator Corporation, of Atlanta, GA,
with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, of Columbus, OH, as surety thereon,
in the amount of $109,800 filed in connection with the contract for R3C Bid
Package No. 14-1 - Elevator Lift Work, is hereby approved.
Section Two. All resolutions or order or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 14th day of September, 2026.
