RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF FEE FOR
BLANKET VENDING PERMIT FOR
AMES BOOSTER CLUB HOMECOMING TAILGATE
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, Ames Booster Club has requested to hold its Homecoming Tailgate
on Monday, September 21, 2026, in conjunction with the Ames High Homecoming
Parade; and,
WHEREAS, to facilitate this event, a closure of Burnett from 5th to 6th Street,
including the closure of 14 metered parking spaces, has been requested from 5 to 8:30
p.m. on September 21, 2026, as well as a blanket vending permit and waiver of fee (Loss
of $50.00 to the City Clerkâs Office) in order to host three food vendors; and,
WHEREAS, the goal of this event is to host food vendors to give families attending
the parade convenient food options. Ames High athletic teams will also gather for photos
and autographs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the aforementioned blanket vending permit and waiver of fee for the Ames
Booster Club Homecoming Tailgate on September 21, 2026, is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 8th day of September, 2026.
