for Dollar General, Neighborhood Liquor Mart and Mega Saver. Therefore, the
Police Department recommends license renewal for these businesses.
A review of police records for the past 12 months found 14 violations for minors
prohibited on certain premises at AJ's Ultra Lounge. Of those, four individuals
possessed fake IDs. One violation was found for possession of alcohol under the
legal age. Officers have spoken to the owner and conveyed the number of minors
on premise is higher than they would like to see. The owner was encouraged to
ensure all establishment staff have received ID training and attend quarterly
meetings to reduce the numbers of minor on premise and better identify fake IDs.
The owner and managers have been cooperative and willing to work with the
police department in the past and have pledged to continue to do so. Officers will
continue to monitor the business for liquor law violations. The Police
Department recommends license renewal for this business.
