RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF
CYRIDE'S 2025 FACILITY FIRE PROTECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the Transit Department has filed a certificate of completion for
CyRide's 2025 Facility Fire Protection Improvement Project for the City of Ames, Iowa, in
accordance with a contract dated 22nd day of July, 2025, by and between the City of
Ames, Iowa, and Henkel Construction Company, of Ames, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contract for CyRide's 2025 Facility Fire Protection
Improvement Project has been fully completed by the Contractor in accordance
with the terms of the contract and is hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. The total cost of the project with change orders is $248,309.73. All
but the remaining $12,415.52 in retainage has been paid.
Section 3. The amount due for the remaining retainage to Henkel Construction
Company, of Ames, IA, is hereby ordered paid as provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 25th day of August, 2026.
