RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL
FOR PARTIAL MISO SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
FROM DATE OF AWARD THROUGH JUNE 30, 2027,
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, this contract provides Energy Management Services that enables Unit
8 to continually operate as a Schedule 53 Resource in MISO and remain as a capacity
resource to serve electric customer's requirements and meet MISO obligations.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
Tenaska Power Services Co., of Irving, TX, for Partial MISO Service
Requirements for the Electric Services Department for the period from the
date of award though June 30, 2027, in the amount of $99,000.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
