was not approved, but shelved for future discussion.
II. Treasurer Report
• There were some banking problems at the US Bank since the AIPCA account was under the
previous treasurer’s name. Now, Karla McC, as president and Laura H, as treasurer will have
the account assigned to them.
• Also, Laura H. will pick up the mail at Ames City Hall where some AIPCA membership checks
are being sent.
• The June Treasurer report was approved by Cindy H. and seconded by Nicki M.
III. Koshu Youth Trip Update
• Cindy H requested $4,100 from the Ames City Council. $2,400 was requested for
reimbursement for Koshu travel.
• Cindy has paid for the scholarships and is looking for another source for reimbursement,
such as Iowa Sister States, Japanese American Society of Iowa, and others.
• Katrina W said that she will do a presentation and greetings to the Japanese Students on
July 11. She also reported that every chaperone and student home have been provided
the profile sheets. Tee-shirts for the trip had been completed on April 30 and were
designed by Katrina’s colleague, a 6th grade teacher.

be organized for their stay here. Suggestions such as a Reiman Gardens visit, Walk & Shop
on Main Street, ISU tour, a bonfire and hot dog roast, and trip to Center Grove Orchard.
