1. Call to order: 5:33 pm
2. Approval of April minutes
a. MoHon to approve Marina, seconded Valerie, approved by all
3. New Treasurer – Karla McCollum
a. Director of Development InternaHonal Engagement at ISU FoundaHon
b. Former ExecuHve Director for Iowa Sister States
c. MoHon to nominate Karla a board member Marina, seconded Michael, approved by all
d. MoHon to nominate Karla the AIPCA treasurer Cindy, seconded Nicki, approved by all
4. Podujevo, Kosovo update
a. The mayors of Podujevo and Ames have met
b. There is an interest in economic exchange
c. Sister ciHes conference in Kosovo 1st week of November
i. There will be 12 ciHes parHcipaHng.
ii. Ames delegaHon can visit at a different Hme as well.
d. Mayor of Ankeny can talk about their relaHonship with the sister city in Kosovo
e. $4M grant for agricultural training in Kosovo (3 Iowa universiHtes will work with
universiHes in Kosovo over the next five years to boost the naHon’s agricultural
economy)
f. Students from Kosovo can apply for scholarships to study at ISU
5. Koshu 30th Anniversary Visit updates
a. Gi]s are ready
b. The trip details discussed
