Approval of July 2020 Minutes: 1st Lisa Shen, 2nd Calli Sandahl, Passed by all
Approval of Treasurer’s Report: 1st Cindy Hicks, 2nd Marina Kraeva, Pass by all
• Old Business:
• Thank you gift for retired board members is purchased. Will be presented to them at
September meeting.
• Online membership fee is still moving forward. Working to do Paypal on Facebook.
• Japanese student exchange idea update: video work in progress.
• Calli Sandahl will change the Facebook page name to Ames International Partner Cities
Association.
New Business:
• City appointed board member has resigned. We need a new one.
• Motion: To explore a relationship opportunity with Tunisia by having Lofti reach out to the
mayor of Haovaria and asking him to send a letter of interest to Mayor Haila. 1st – Lisa Shen, 2nd
Katrina Williams, approved by all.
• Next meeting on September 17, 5:30pm at Memorial Park.
