Monthly Board Meeting
20November 2014
Meeting called to order at 5:05 PM by Dianne Brotherson.
Members Present:
Bill Diesslin, Tom Sauer, Judy Jones, Dianne Brotherson, Lana Pavlik, Jen Malone, Chris Moon.
Approval of Minutes:
Minutes for the previous Board meeting held 23October, 2014, were approved with no edits.
Treasurer Report:
Tom Sauer moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report. The motion was seconded by Judy Jones. Treasurer’s report was approved.
Old Business:
City grant proposal was turned in, we requested $5,000. All known expenses from the September delegation have been paid; however, the check to the church for use of the hall has not
been cashed.
Thank you cards have been sent to all host families, working on cards to businesses.
Board expressed interest in sending New Year cards to the membership. Jen will host the card mailing party at her home on 8 December, 2014. Bill will create labels based on the mailing
list.
New Business:
There was some discussion about recruiting an ALT to work in Koshu. We will share with our sister city in Koshu that some of their hiring criteria make it difficult for us to advertise.
We will advertise the 2015 adult delegation to Koshu in the holiday card. We will combine the newsletter with the holiday card to the membership.
