AMES INTERNATIONAL PARTNER CITY ASSOCIATION
September 16, 2010
The meeting was called to order at 5:05 pm by Vice President Judy Kemp filling in for president Diane Oppedal.
Members present: Carolyn Klaus, Sandy Hoenig, Sharlene Sullivan, Judy Kemp, Oye Pitcher, Cappie Dobyns, Kathleen Ary, Laura Lynn Boettger, George Beran, Bill Diesslin, Bob Kindred,
Ames City Liaison, and former board member Lana Pavlik.
Members absent: John Kolb, David Miller, Diane Oppedal,
Approval of the August 19, 2010 minutes were made by Carolyn Klaus and seconded by Bill Diesslin. Carried.
Treasurer Bill Diesslin, presented a quarterly report.
New Business:
The election of Board Officers were approved as standing: Diane Oppedal, president, Judy Kemp, vice president, Bill Diesslin, treasurer, and Sandy Hoenig, secretary.
Committee Reports:
The youth delegation of 23 youth and 5 adults from Japan will arrive on September 21, 2010. Judy Kemp, Kathleen Ary, Sharleen Sullivan, and Cappie Dobyns are serving on the committee.

Carolyn Klaus and Oye Pitcher reported on the partner city exchange to Japan October 27 – November 3, 2010. Our delegation will have 18 adults. Bill Diesslin and Mayor Ann Campbell
will be representing us.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 pm.
