RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER
OF VENDING LICENSE FEE FOR ECOFAIR
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, City staff is planning to host the 2026 EcoFair from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00
p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026. This year’s event will host vendors focused on
educating citizens of all ages about sustainability, water quality, water conservation,
energy conversation, environmental, and climate change; and,
WHEREAS, to facilitate this event, City staff has requested waiver of the fee for a
blanket Vending License ($50 loss to the City Clerk’s Office); and,
WHEREAS, the EcoFair furthers the City Council’s Goal to expand Sustainability
Efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the waiver of fee for a blanket Vending License for EcoFair is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 28th day of July, 2026.
