RESOLUTION APPROVING FY 2027/28
ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL SERVICES EVALUATION TEAM (ASSET) PRIORITIES
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the ASSET funding process for FY 2027/28 will begin in August 2026.
ASSET volunteers will conduct their agency visits to discuss services, gather information,
and submit written reports that will be used for the agency hearings and work sessions
scheduled in January 2027; and,
WHEREAS, in preparation for the FY 2027/28 funding cycle an important guiding
document for the ASSET Board to use in making funding recommendations is the Funder
priorities; and,
WHEREAS, City staff collected feedback regarding the priorities from the City’s
ASSET volunteers and the volunteers do not recommend any changes to the priorities.
Additionally, volunteers and staff believe these priorities reflect the needs identified
through: 1) the past year's ASSET discussions about community needs, 2) the
Homelessness Action Plan, and 3) the 2025 Story County Health Needs Assessment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the City's FY 2027/28 ASSET priorities are hereby approved as unchanged
from the FY 2026/27 priorities.
ADOPTED THIS 14th day of July, 2026.
