AMES CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
Council Chambers, City Hall
515 Clark Ave, Ames, Iowa
June 25, 2026
Call to Order
Co-Chair, Harold Pike, called the meeting of the Ames Civil Service Commission to order at
8:15am. In attendance were Larry Conley, Commission Member, Vicki Hillock, Commission Clerk
and Bethany Ballou, Human Resources Director. Kim Linduska, Commission Chair and Member
was absent.
Approval of Minutes
Moved by Conley, seconded by Pike, to approve May 28, 2026, regular meeting minutes. Vote on
Motion: 2-0. Motion carried unanimously.
Certification of Entry-Level Applicants
Planner Alex Henderson 80
Recreation Manager Tobias Donahue 78
Sublist: Adult & Youth Sports & Activities T Clay Caswell 75
Samual Chia 70
* Includes preference points
** Indicates carryover from prior certified list
Moved by Pike, seconded by Conley, to certify the above individuals to the Ames City Council as
Entry-Level Applicants. Vote on Motion: 2-0. Motion carried.
Next Regular Meeting
Meeting will be held in-person on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 8:15am in Council Chamber of City
Hall.
Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 8:21 am.
