RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR THE
PRIMARY UNDERGROUND TRENCHING CONTRACT
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, on July 9, 2024, City Council awarded a primary contract to
Communications Data Link, of Grimes, IA, and a secondary contract to Ames Trenching
& Excavating, of Ames, IA, for the Underground Trenching Contract. The contract allows
a provision to renew the contract up to four additional one-year periods. This is the second
out of four renewal periods.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
Communications Data Link, of Grimes, IA, for the primary Underground
Trenching Contract for Electric Services for the one-year period from July
1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $150,000 .
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
