RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL
FOR BOILER MAINTENANCE SERVICES CONTRACT FOR POWER PLANT
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, on July 26, 2022, Council awarded a contract to TEI Construction
Services, Inc., Duncan, SC, for the Boiler Maintenance Services Contract for Power Plant.
This contract included the option for the City to renew in one-year increments for up to
four additional years. This is the fourth renewal out of four possible renewal periods.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
TEI Construction Services Inc., of Duncan, SC, for Boiler Maintenance
Services Contract for Power Plant for the one-year period from July 1, 2026,
through June 30, 2027, in an amount not-to-exceed $250,000. Payments
will be based on contract rates for time and materials for services actually
received and accepted by the City.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
