RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR CUSTODIAL SERVICES
FOR THE AMES PUBLIC LIBRARY, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, ABM has provided relatively low-cost custodial services for the Ames
Public Library over the last two fiscal years. ABM's representatives and have worked
closely with Library staff to ensure there are high-quality results and the cleaning schedule
accommodates the timing of library activities and public events.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
ABM Industry Groups, LLC, of Des Moines, IA, for Custodial Services for
Ames Public Library for the one-year period from July 1, 2 2026, through
June 30, 2027, in an amount not-to-exceed $101,620.44.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
