RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL
FOR POWER PLANT MAINTENANCE SERVICES CONTRACT
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the Electric Utility has two gas-fired, high-pressure steam generation
units within the City’s Power Plant, referred to as Units No. 7 and 8. These units require
regular professional maintenance and repair. This work consists of both emergency and
planned repairs and service.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
Waldinger Corporation, of Des Moines, IA, for the Power Plant Maintenance
Services Contract for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, 3 in an amount
not-to-exceed $120,000. Funds shall be expended only as work is required
and in accordance with approved invoices.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
