RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL
FOR LIABILITY INSURANCE BROKERAGE
FOR THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, Assured Partners has provided liability insurance brokerage services
since 2018. It provides this service at a flat rate rather than taking a commission. By doing
so, Assured Partners saves the City a considerable expense. The firm continues to
provide excellent service to the City by working closely with the City's liability insurer and
City staff to ensure that the City realizes the best renewal rates possible.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
Assured Partners for Liability Insurance Brokerage for July 1, 2026, through
June 30, 2027, in the amount of $30,000 and the purchase of the crime
bond for $4,154.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
