RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL
FOR THE CITY'S MEMBERSHIP IN THE
IOWA COMMUNITIES ASSURANCE POOL (ICAP)
FOR THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City has been a member of ICAP since July 1, 2004, and secures
its casualty and liability coverages through this membership. ICAP provides similar
protection to approximately 300 cities, 70 counties, 50 fair boards, and over 250 other
public entities.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
Membership in the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP) for casualty
and liability coverages in an amount not-to-exceed $868,462.35.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
