RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES FUEL SUPPLY CONTRACT
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2025, City Council awarded a contract to Petroleum
Traders Corporation, Fort Wayne, Indiana, for supplying diesel fuel to the City's gas
turbine units. The contract includes a provision that would allow the City to renew the
contract for up to four additional one -year terms. The proposed renewal contract would
be the first of the four optional terms. The renewal period is from July 1, 2026, through
June 30, 2027.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
Petroleum Traders Corporation of Fort Wayne, IN, for the Electric Services
Fuel Supply Contract for the one-year period of July 1, 2026, through June
30, 2027, in an amount not-to-exceed $300,000.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
