RESOLUTION APPROVING DESIGNATION OF
UNALLOCATED FY 2026/27 ASSET FUNDS FOR MEETING BASIC NEEDS
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, in addition to the $2,081,431 recommended agency allocations, there
was an additional $56,002 of City funding that was unallocated for FY 2026/27. The
ASSET Board recommended utilizing unallocated funds for basic needs, including, but
not limited to, housing, food insecurity, or childcare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that designating the City’s unallocated ASSET funds in the amount of $56,002 for
meeting basic needs is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 26th day of May, 2026.
