RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
FY 2027 TRANSPORTATION PLANNING WORKING PROGRAM
FOR THE AMES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION
WHEREAS, the Ames Area Metropolitan Planning Organization was officially
designated as the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) of the Ames urbanized
area by the Governor of Iowa in March 2003; and,
WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Transportation annually requires a
Transportation Planning Work Program be developed by all Iowa MPOs in order to
establish their transportation planning priorities, activities, and budget for the
upcoming state fiscal year; and,
WHEREAS, the Ames Area MPO Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Transportation
Planning Work Program groups its transportation planning work activities into five
work elements and includes the budget allocated to accomplish the activities
described in each element; and
WHEREAS, the FY 2027 Transportation Planning Work Program has been
developed with input from regional stakeholders, member agencies, the public, the
Iowa Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, and the
Federal Transit Administration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Ames Area Metropolitan
Planning Organization hereby approves the FY 2027 Transportation Planning Work
Program.
