RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSAL FOR THE SALE OF SIX
MARKET-RATE LOTS AVAILABLE WITHIN THE BAKER SUBDIVISION
TO KEYSTONE EQUITY GROUP
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, on March 9, 2026, staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to sell
up to six of the market-rate lots in the Baker Subdivision. The City received two responses
that were reviewed by a committee that consisted of members from Planning, Housing,
Public Works, and Inspections; and,
WHEREAS, the evaluation team found the proposals to be competitive overall with
differences in the details provided with each proposal. Each builder's proposal has home
designs that included many features identified within the RFP and some building
elevations that could be modified if desired; and,
WHEREAS, the proposal from Keystone Equity Group scored highest and staff
recommends proceeding with an agreement for the sale of six lots.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the proposal for the sale of six market-rate lots available within the Baker
Subdivision to Keystone Equity Group is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 28th day of April, 2026.
