RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT
WITH HENKEL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, OF AMES, IOWA,
FOR THE AMES DOWNTOWN PLAZA ICE SKATING RIBBON
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, Henkel Construction Company and the City of Ames have been
engaged in negation and are desirous of resolving all disputes involving the Ice Skating
Ribbon in the Ames Downtown Plaza; and,
WHEREAS, Henkel Construction Company and the City of Ames have agreed
upon terms of a proposed settlement that would accomplish the goals and purposes of
opening the Ice Skating Ribbon to the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the terms of the settlement agreement have been found to be acceptable and
are approved and confirmed, and that the Mayor is authorized to execute said agreement
on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa.
ADOPTED THIS 27th day of February, 2026.
