MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
AMES CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
AMES, IOWA JUNE 26, 2025
The Regular Meeting of the Ames Civil Service Commission met in regular session in Council Chambers
of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, with Commission Members, Harold Pike, Larry Conley, and Kim Linduska,
Commission Chair present. Also in attendance Commission Clerk, Vicki Hillock, HR Director, Bethany
Ballou, brought in telephonically.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MAY 22, 2025: Moved by Pike, seconded by Conley, to approve the
Minutes of the May 22, 2025, Regular Service Commission meeting. Vote on Motion: 3-0. Motion declared
carried unanimously.
CERTIFICATION OF ENTRY-LEVEL APPLICANTS: Moved by Linduska, seconded by Conley, to
certify the following individuals to the Ames City Council as Entry-Level Applicants:

REQUEST TO REMOVE NAME FROM HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER I LIST: Moved by
Linduska, seconded by Conley, to remove name from Human Resources Officer I entry level certified list.
REQUEST TO REMOVE NAME FROM MAINTENANCE WORKER – PARKS & REC LIST:
Moved by Conley, seconded by Pike, to remove name from Maintenance Worker – Parks & Rec entry level
certified list.
COMMENTS: The next Regular Meeting will be held in-person on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 8:15 am in
Council Chambers of City Hall.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 8:20 AM.
