RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF
2022/23 CONCRETE PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS
(BROOKRIDGE AVE, RIDGEWOOD AVE, LEE ST, 9TH ST, PARK WAY, & ALLEY)
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has filed a certificate of completion for
the 2022/23 Concrete Pavement Improvements (Brookridge Ave, Ridgewood Ave, Lee
St, 9th St, Park Way, & Alley) for the City of Ames, Iowa, in accordance with a contract
dated the 25th day of April, 2023, by and between the City of Ames, Iowa, and Shekar
Engineering, P.L.C., of Des Moines, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contract for the 2022/23 Concrete Pavement
Improvements (Brookridge Ave, Ridgewood Ave, Lee St, 9th St, Park Way, &
Alley) has been fully completed by the Contractor in accordance with the terms
of the contract and is hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. The total cost of the contract is $3,941,150.72.
Section 3. The amount due to Shekar Engineering, P.L.C., of Des Moines,
Iowa, is hereby ordered paid as provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 27th day of January, 2026.
