RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR MICROSOFT SOFTWARE LICENSING AND SUPPORT
FOR THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, Insight Public Sector is the City’s provider of licensing and support for
Microsoft enterprise software. This software is used by both end users and servers daily
throughout the entire City organization for communication and delivery of services.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
Insight Public Sector, of Dallas, Texas, for Microsoft software licensing and
support in the amount of $287,530.68.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 27th day of January, 2026.
