RESOLUTION APPROVING USE OF TOM EVANS PLAZA
DURING ART WALK EVENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, Ames Main Street (AMS) is hosting its annual Art Walk on Thursday,
June 11, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate this event, Ames Main Street has requested the use
of Tom Evans Plaza as the location for the performance of live music; and,
WHEREAS, the Art Walk is a popular annual event that adds vitality to the
Downtown, and the organizers have experience in hosting this and many other similar
events throughout the year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the use of Tom Evans Plaza during the Art Walk event on Thursday, June 11,
2026, is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 13th day of January, 2026.
