RE: Scenic Valley 7th Addition Financial Security Reduction #2
Mayor and Council Members:
I hereby certify that the streetlights and partial completion of sidewalk and street trees required
as a condition for approval of the final plat of Scenic Valley 7th Addition have been completed in
an acceptable manner by Various Contractors. The above-mentioned improvements have been
inspected by the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department of the City of Ames, Iowa,
and found to meet City specifications and standards.
As a result of this certification, it is recommended that the financial security for public
improvements on file with the City for this subdivision be reduced to $103,362. The remaining
work covered by this financial security includes asphalt surface pavement, utility adjustments,
public sidewalk, ADA sidewalk ramps, COSESCO (erosion control), and street trees.
