RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOR TWO 40' HEAVY-DUTY DIESEL BUSES
FOR THE TRANSIT DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the state cooperative procurement schedule was utilized for the
purchase of two 40' Heavy-Duty Diesel Buses for the Transit Department, City of Ames,
Iowa. Said schedule has now been carefully analyzed to select a preferred manufacturer.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section One. Award of contract is made as follows:
Gillig, LLC, of Livermore, California, for an amount of $1,453,822 for two 40’
heavy-duty diesel buses.
Section Two. The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal
of the City thereto.
Section Three. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 25th day of November, 2025.
