RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
HOMEWOOD HOLE #9 CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND PROVIDING FOR
NOTICE OF HEARING AND THE TAKING OF BIDS
IN CONNECTION THEREWITH
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, has heretofore determined
it advisable and necessary to construct the Homewood Hole #9 Crossing Improvements
for the City of Ames; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary and proper to adopt proposed
plans, specifications, and form of contract as filed with the City Clerk on the 14th day of
October, 2025; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to fix a time and place of hearing on said proposed
plans, specifications and form of contract and to provide for the taking of bids in
connection therewith and to give notice thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, as follows:
Section One. The plans, specifications and form of contract for the Homewood
Hole #9 Crossing Improvements Project within the City of Ames, Iowa, are hereby
approved, and the 18th day of November, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, Ames, Iowa, hereby fixed as the time and place of hearing
on said proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract, and also the time and
place of considering bids in connection therewith. Sealed bids will be received
until 2:00 p.m. on the 12th day of November, 2025, in the office of the City Clerk,
Ames, Iowa, at which time they shall be opened and announced.
Section Two. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of
said hearing on said proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract, and of
the taking of bids, by publication of such notice as prescribed by the Code of Iowa,
Sections 26.3 and 362.3.
Section Three. All provisions set out in said form of contract and notice are hereby
recognized and prescribed by this Council, and all resolutions or orders or parts
thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
