Consent Agenda: Motion to approve by Hauswirth/Stromberg-Murphy. Unanimous. a. Present: Rowland, Rogowski, Stromberg-Murphy, Hoff-Grambau, Zwank, Merchant, Reutter, Lindsley, Hauswirth, Schmidt III. Commission Committee a. Outreach i. Reviewed AAOSE flyer 1. Motion to approve flyer by Hauswirth/Lindsley. Unanimous. ii. Ames Downtown Art Walk 1. Booth will be on Douglas and Main on the south side (by the hobby shop) b. Public Relations i. Looking at a 4-month calendar for PR 1. Soliciting suggestions to highlight on social media or press releases c. Collection Management i. Committee has been working through the collection-finding submissions from the commission and comparing that to city files for inventory. 1. There are 140 pieces in the collection with 127 found 2. Going to take a further look at pieces that may be damaged ii. What is the commission’s role for preserving pieces, especially once they are out of warranty? iii. Committee will ask the city to look into pieces that have active warranties so that the commission can check their conditions IV. Public Forum a. None V. Chair’s Report/Comments a. Ames Downtown Art Walk i. A few spots are available for all shifts, but need someone to work the closing shift VI. City of Ames Liaison Report a. AMES project i. Council approved the 3 easements ii. Working on getting notarized signatures from the property reps to make this official iii. Recommends one last read through of the Call for Artists and establishing a deadline of late July for submissions to be issued in the next week or two b. AAOSE i. Signs have been installed ii. A draft of the flyer should be ready for review c. Calendar i. Submissions are coming in d. Neighborhood Art i. Pads have been poured, and pieces are expected to be installed in the next two weeks VII. Old Business a. AMES project update i. See City of Ames Liaison report VIII. New Business a. Troll installation partnership update i. No updates b. Calendar project i. Hauswirth spoke with Discover Ames and they are willing to promote the calendar once they are for sale ii. Lindsley will post about the Call for Artists once he has access to the PAC Facebook page IX. For the Good of the Order a. Hauswirth has spoken with the Alliance and Main Street and they would like to partner with PAC to help give input on where AAOSE pieces are placed in the future b. Stromberg-Murphy suggested PAC hosting an open house or walking tour to show pieces that may not normally be seen by the public X. Motion to Adjourn at 1844 by Hauswirth/Merchant. Unanimous.
