RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL SERVICES EVALUATION TEAM (ASSET) CONTRACT
WITH NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS (NAMI) OF CENTRAL IOWA
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, when the City Council approved an ASSET contract with NAMI of
Central Iowa for FY 2025/26, there was a mix-up in the unit rate for Public Education and
Awareness that was not identified when the contract was originally signed. The rate for
Public Education and Awareness included in the contract is set at $8.02 per uni t. The unit
rate should be $26.81 per unit; and,
WHEREAS, having the accurate unit rate is important for purchasing services.
Staff has prepared a contract amendment that updates the unit rate. It should be noted
that this adjustment in the unit rate does not change the overall allocation of $27,550 to
NAMI.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the First Amendment to the ASSET contract with NAMI Central Iowa is hereby
approved.
