RESOLUTION APPROVING DESIGNATION OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE
CENTRAL IOWA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ALLIANCE
FOR THE AMES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION
WHEREAS, the Ames Area Metropolitan Planning Organization was officially
designated as the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) of the Ames urbanized
area by the Governor of Iowa in March 2003; and,
WHEREAS, the Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance
(CIRTPA) officially serves as the Regional Planning Affiliation (RPA) for central Iowa ;
and,
WHEREAS, the Ames Area MPO is a non-voting advisory member of CIRTPA
and is required to annually confirm by resolution the appointment of a primary and
alternate representative to CIRTPA’s Transportation Policy and Technical Committees;
and,
WHEREAS, the Ames Area MPO designates its 2026 representatives on
CIRTPA’s committees be as follows: TPC Representative: Kyle Thompson,
Transportation Planner; TPC Alternate Representative: Damion Pregitzer, Traffic
Engineer; TTC Representative: Kyle Thompson, Transportation Planner; TTC
Alternate Representative: Damion Pregitzer, Traffic Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Ames Area Metropolitan
Planning Organization hereby approves the appointment of the individuals named
above to serve in their respective roles representing the Ames Area Metropolitan
Planning Organization on the Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance
committees in calendar year 2026.
