HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Special Meeting of the Ames City Council 12/11/1996MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE AMES CITY COUNCIL CITY OF AMES, IOWA DECEMBER 11, 1996 The Ames City Council met in Special Session at 8:00 a.m. on the 11th day of December, 1996, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa, pursuant to law with Mayor Larry R. Curtis presiding and the following Council Members present: Campbell, Hoffman, Parks, Quirmbach, and Tedesco. Coun. Wirth arrived late. CALL TO ORDER: 8:00 a.m. APPROVAL OF NEW BEER PERMITS FOR THREE NEW KUM & GO ESTABLISHMENTS: Motion by Parks, Second by Hoffman, to approve new Class E Beer permits for Kum & Go #214, 111 Duff; Kum & Go #215, 4506 Lincoln Way; and Kum & Go #216, 203 Welch Avenue. Vote on Motion: 5-0. Motion declared carried unanimously. Coun. Wirth arrived. COMMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Motion by Quirmbach, Second by Parks, to refer to Staff letter dated December 4, 1996 from Kristen Mangels regarding the Union Pacific Railroad crossing at Bloomington Road, and asked that the item be placed on the December 17, 1996 Council agenda. Vote on Motion: 6-0. Motion declared carried unanimously. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 8:02 a.m. Sandra L. Ryan, City Clerk Larry R. Curtis, Mayor
