HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Special Meeting of the Ames City Council 08/20/1998MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE AMES CITY COUNCIL AMES, IOWA AUGUST 20, 1998 The Ames City Council met in special session at 8:00 a.m. on the 20th day of August, 1998, in the City Council Chambers in City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, pursuant to law with Mayor Ted Tedesco presiding and the following Council members present: Campbell, Hoffman, Parks, and Wirth. Council Members Cross and Quirmbach were absent. CALL TO ORDER: 8:00 a.m. DEVELOPER’S AGREEMENT FOR S.E. 16TH STREET AND DAYTON AVENUE: Planning and Housing Director Brian O’Connell explained that in order for Trickle and Stephan, LLC, to develop a site for construction of a motel on the north side of Southeast 16th Street, sanitary sewer and water mains need to be extended to service the development. These responsibilities have been set out in the developer’s agreement which needs Council approval. Moved by Parks, seconded by Wirth, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 98-396 approving the developer’s agreement for the Trickle and Stephan site development at Southeast 16th Street and Dayton Avenue. Roll Call Vote: 4-0. Resolution declared adopted unanimously, signed by the Mayor, and hereby made a portion of these minutes. (Note: Developer’s Agreement is filed with Ordinance No. 3493 - vacating r-o-w on S.E. 16th) COMMENTS: Council Member Hoffman asked that Staff trim the bushes and trees along the Ontario Bike Path.
