Council Member Wirth was absent. AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR VISIONAIRE BUILDING/HANGAR GROUND LEASE: The City Council received a request from the Ames Economic Development Commission to allow tenant improvements at the Ames Municipal Airport for Clarion Technologies. The company had been allowed to proceed with interior remodeling, however, in order to fill customer orders, Clarion Technologies now needs to begin exterior construction. An amendment to the agreement has been prepared for execution between the City of Ames and the tenant that will allow this construction activity to occur. Assistant City Manager Bob Kindred indicated that Clarion Technologies will agree to remove any exterior improvements should the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reject the request. FAA approval is the only thing standing in the way of issuing the building permit. Jeff Keefer, plant manager for Clarion Technologies, stated his appreciation for all of the assistance and support that the company has received. Moved by Cross, seconded by Mahayni, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 04-486 amending Agreement between Lessors and Lessees Pertaining to Use of Premises and Development of Improvements on Leased Land to allow limited exterior improvements prior to Federal Aviation Administration approval. Roll Call Vote: 5-0. Resolution declared adopted unanimously, signed by the mayor, and hereby made a portion of these minutes. COMMENTS: There were no comments. ADJOURNMENT: 4:50 p.m. _________________________________ ________________________________________ Diane Voss, City Clerk Ted Tedesco, Mayor _________________________________ Jill Ripperger, Recording Secretary
