HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Approving the City's unallocated funds in the amount of $49,844 for FY 2025/26 for meeting basic needsRESOLUTION NO. 25-265 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY’S UNALLOCATED ASSET FUNDS FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS, in addition to the $1,874,734 of recommended agency allocations (including the three agencies where funds were sequestered), there is an additional $49,844 of City funding that is unallocated for FY 2025/26. The ASSET Board is recommending these unallocated funds be reserved for basic needs, including, but not limited to, housing, food insecurity, or childcare. This unallocated amount does not include the $96,229 in City funds earmarked for continuous improvement and housing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that designating the City’s unallocated ASSET funds in the amount of $49,844 for meeting basic needs is hereby approved.
