RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL
FOR CELL MAINTENANCE SERVICES (RDF ASH)
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the ash pond is an essential part of the refuse derived fuel (RDF) combustion
process. Because the ash pond has a limited working area, the RDF ash must be excavated and
removed to allow for the continued combustion of RDF.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section 1: Award of contract is made as follows:
Wulfekuhle Injection & Pumping, Peosta, Iowa, for Cell Maintenance Services for
Electric Services for the one-year period from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026
in an amount not-to-exceed $200,000.
Section 2: The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contract for
and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 8th day of April, 2025.
