RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF FEES
FOR WITCHES WALK EVENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, Ames Main Street (AMS) is hosting its annual Witches Walk on Thursday,
October 9, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate this event, Ames Main Street has requested the following
from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: use of electricity in Tom Evans Plaza and waiver of electrical fees; and,
WHEREAS, the Witches Walk is a popular annual event that adds vitality to the Downtown,
and the organizers have experience in hosting this and many other similar events throughout the
year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the aforementioned waiver of fees for the use and cost of electricity is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 26th day of November, 2024.
