RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF FEES
FOR ART WALK EVENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, Ames Main Street (AMS) is hosting its annual Art Walk on Thursday, June 5,
2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate this event, Ames Main Street has requested the following
from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: waiver of parking meter fees and enforcement in the Central Business
District for 23 metered parking spaces; waiver of the fee for a Blanket Vending License; and use of
electricity in Tom Evans Plaza and waiver of electrical fees; and,
WHEREAS, the Art Walk is a popular annual event that adds vitality to the Downtown, and
the organizers have experience in hosting this and many other similar events throughout the year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the aforementioned waiver of fees for the Blanket Vending License, parking meter fees, and cost
of electricity are hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 26th day of November, 2024.
