RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY FOR
6196 EAST LINCOLN WAY
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, application for a proposed Plat of Survey has been submitted for a conveyance
parcel per Section 23.307 of the Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS, the site is located at 09 Township: 83 Range: 23 SE NE along 590th Avenue,
and the owner is Dale and Bonnie Knutson; and,
WHEREAS, the real estate description is A PART OF THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF THE
NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 83 NORTH, RANGE 23 WEST OF THE
5TH P.M., STORY COUNTY, IOWA DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE
NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 9;
THENCE SOUTH 07°51'52" EAST, 1329.89 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID SOUTHEAST
1/4 OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 9; THENCE SOUTH 89°59'26" WEST ALONG SAID
SOUTH LINE, 182.07 FEET TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF THE
NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 9; THENCE NORTH 00°00'16" EAST ALONG THE WEST LINE
OF SAID SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 9, A DISTANCE OF 1317.41
FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING AND CONTAINING 2.75 ACRES (119,928 S.F.); and,
WHEREAS, a preliminary decision of approval for the proposed Plat of Survey has been
rendered by the Planning and Housing Department with no conditions; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that
the Plat of Survey for 6196 East Lincoln Way is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 12th day of November, 2024.
