Monday, September 12, 2022
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Nancy Gebhart. Members present were
Deanne Brill, Dave Detlefs, Steve Kawaler, and Jaime Reyes.
Public Forum
There was no one was in attendance for the public forum .
Approval of the August 1, 2022, Minutes
It was moved by Jaime, seconded by Steve, to approve the minutes of the August 1, 2022,
meeting. Nancy noted that “not” needs to be inserted in front of “for-profits” in line 2 of
paragraph 4 under “Approve 2023/24 Annual Grant Application and Report Forms. Motion
carried unanimously with correction noted.
Approval of KHOI 2021/22 Annual Grant Final Report
In the absence of the final report, approval was moved to the October 3, 2022, meeting.
2023/24 Annual Grant and 2023 Spring Special Project Grant Workshop
In Brian Phillips’ absence, Nancy presented the PowerPoint presentation and reminded
attendees to sign in. Two questions were raised by arts agency representatives: 1) The cells in
the budget spreadsheet do not allow adequate space and the formulas do not compute
correctly. 2) The representative from ACTORS asked why overhead could not be included in
COTA funding. Nancy said both issues would be referred to Brian for correction/clarification.

1. Spring 2023 Special Project Grant Applications due – September 23, 2022
2. 2023/24 Annual Grant Applications due – October 14, 2022
3. Next Meeting (Spring 2023 Special Project Grant Hearings) – October 3, 2022
