Members present were Dave Detlefs, Steve Kawaler, Christa Knoll, and Jaime Reyes. Public Forum Tami Koolbeck announced her appreciation for the COTA grants and announced a January 31 performance of Jesus Christ Superstar. Approval of the November 6, 2023 Minutes It was moved by Steve, seconded by Dave, to approve the minutes of November 6, 2023. Motion carried unanimously. 2024-25 Annual Grant Recommendations: It was moved by Dave, seconded by Jaime, to approve the following recommendations: Agency Recommendation ACTORS $19,300 AIOFA $9,260 Ames Chamber Artists $6,000 Ames Youth Choir $15,200 Ames Choral Society $3,950 Ames Community Arts Council $12,900 Ames Chapter of Des Moines Metro Opera Guild $1,450 Ames Desi Drama Association $4,800 Central Iowa Symphony $13,900 Creative Artists' Studios of Ames $4,800 Dancenter Dance Company Foundation $3,650 Friends of Ames Strings $3,950 Friends of Roosevelt Park $1,160 Good Company $2,850 India Cultural Association $9,600 Iowa Youth Ballet $4,200 KHOI $7,800 Octagon Center for the Arts $46,100 Senior Variety Show $4,900 Story Theater Company $39,516 Town & Gown $17,730 AGENCY SUBTOTAL $233,016 SPEC.
