REPORTS Administrative Team Kresse reported that Michelle Cole with ACCESS has resigned. Lisa Diggs called to let Kresse know that a search would happen for a new director. Kresse also let her know that if she or the board needed anything, to reach out to Funders. Kresse gave an update that the Housing Exploration Group is meeting next week and will discuss possible agency(ies) to provide Emergency Shelter. The Bridge Home will be breaking ground on the 18 family units location for Permanent Supportive Housing on Wednesday (9/27). Clear Impact Scorecard Mundel provided a one-page overview of how ASSET liaisons and staff can access Clear Impact Scorecard. Scorecard contains outcomes data for funded programs, as well as volunteer and agency client statistics. Mundel also provided copies of the relevant FY23 agency Scorecards to the assigned liaisons. Mundel also provided some copies of email communications between her and agency staff on some performance measures (where missing, unclear, etc.). If volunteers have questions regarding any of this data, they can reach out to Mundel. Kresse noted if volunteers have questions about some of the data , they also www.storycountyasset.org should consider mentioning it to the agency when they schedule their visit; that way, the agency can have the relevant staff person present to address those questions. Mundel reviewed the column titled “Current Trend”: the arrow (up, even, or down) shows the change from the last fiscal year. Acker asked what the green and red dots mean. Mundel responded that those points indicate these data points are calculated measures; this means that the agency has entered data somewhere else in Scorecard and this is auto-calculating. Green means data is current and red means something was missing in the formula to calculate that data point. Volunteers Thompson asked if Friends of CASA will be submitting a funding request? Kresse said we will know by the 27th but they did not attend the Annual Agency Training held in August. OLD BUSINESS Funders’ Priorities for FY 2024-25 funding cycle (Funder Representatives) Kresse gave a quick overview of the changes for United Way for volunteers. Their main change was adding the paragraph at the top to help focus the priorities. Harker went over the updates for the Cities priorities and pointed out the focus on low-income individuals. Sarver pointed out that ISU Student Government Priorities are now listed in priority order. Thompson asked why childcare was dropped in importance as a priority from ISU? Sarver responded that the student’s response was that they want to focus on immediate needs. Harker asked if the students saw a drop in the data that supported this change? Sarver responded that she did not know, but the students did agree on this change. Hochstein mentioned that there might be some more consistency now that they have a dedicated staff person. So, there may not have been many changes in the past to the ISU StuGov priorities, where we might see more now. Thompson mentioned that as a volunteer she is thankful to the Funders for providing these priorities to help give direction when allocating funding. NEW BUSINESS Volunteer Training Training on liaison responsibilities for agency visits, reports, hearings, and budgets was provided to ASSET volunteers. ADDITIONAL ITEMS None ADJOURNMENT at 6:25pm
