Ames Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition (AAOSE) (10 min-Olivia Madison) 1. Panelists have been selected: Kerry Dixon, Kevin Stowe, Mary James, Lisa Teske 2. Panel will meet to select AAOSE 2021 pieces 3. Update on Pieces that have been submitted b. Neighborhood Art (10 min) 1. Invite community members to apply for Neighborhood Sculpture from our 2020 AAOSE Collection. Deadline was December 15. a. Update on entries. b. Outreach Committee needs to review and narrow down entries to around 3 finalists for purchase and placement, taking price into consideration. c. Ultimately must be approved by risk management and traffic departments, among others. 2. Transformer Cabinet Mural Project Proposal (James Surber, Andrew Ward) a. Ask people in the community to submit artwork for a transformer box in their own neighborhoods, promoting a sense of ownership of the artwork. b. Alternative for neighborhoods that may not be a good candidate for a sculpture c. Broaden our scope for mural/2d work outside of just the downtown neighborhood d. James Surber - Proposal 4. Public Relations (Paola Sepulveda Chair; Taylor Carlson, Sara Sherman) (5 min) a. Festival & Event Participation for FY2021 (Sara Sherman) 3 of 2 1. Artwalk - June 2021 2. Reiman Gardens - July 2021 3. Octagon Art Festival - September 2021 4. These events will need participation from PAC members at our booth. All dependent on the COVID situation. b. Idea of creating 3D photos of our sculptures for public viewing 5. Collection Management (Co-Chairs: Angie DeWaard and James Surber; Olivia Madison, Clarie Kruesel, and Karen George) (5 min) a. City Hall Art Placement/Signage – removal and installation (Olivia Madison) b. PAC Collection Management Database/System c. Balance- Crack at the base; any updates? d. Possible Purchase of a Glowforge Laser Cutter for creating QR labels to withstand the elements e.
